Our Sales Department is looking to hire a Junior Service Advisor who will proactively engage customers in the service drive to educate and upsell oil change contracts, maintenance program upgrades, and vehicle service contracts, maximizing dealership revenue while enhancing customer retention. This position reports to Armando Leyva, Director of Compliance. This is a full-time position working the Service Department hours. It will be paid hourly plus commission.
Qualifications:
- One year of Dealership experience in Finance or as a Service Advisor
- Superior record of customer service skills
- Professional phone skills & demeanor
- Ability to upsell oil change contracts to customers in the service drive
- Proactive and goal-driven
- Looking to grow with a commission job
Job Duties include:
- Proactively review the next day’s service appointments to identify customers who may benefit from oil change contracts, maintenance program upgrades, or vehicle service contracts
- Contact customers before their service visit to introduce relevant service plans and set the stage for an in-person sales conversation
- Greet customers upon arrival in the service drive, establish rapport, and assess their vehicle service needs
- Educate customers on oil change contracts, maintenance program upgrades, and vehicle service contracts, highlighting benefits and cost savings
- Maintain a deep understanding of all service plans, warranties, and manufacturer-recommended maintenance schedules to confidently address customer concerns
- Evaluate customers’ driving habits, vehicle usage, and past service history to recommend appropriate service plans
- Overcome objections and effectively close sales on extended service contracts and maintenance plans
- Work alongside service advisors to identify potential upsell opportunities and ensure a seamless customer experience
- Accurately complete contracts, collect payments, and ensure all sales comply with dealership and manufacturer policies
- Provide excellent customer service to build long-term relationships and enhance customer retention
Physical Requirements:
- Surroundings: position requires spending some time indoors in air-conditioned areas and outdoors experiencing different weathers while assisting customers on the service drive
- On a regular basis: sitting, grabbing with hands
- On occasion: Standing, walking, bending, twisting and/or stooping, climbing stairs
- Infrequently: Kneeling and/or squatting, lifting, reaching overhead, pushing and pulling
