Customer Service/Inside Sales Rep

Our client in Anderson is hiring a Customer Service/Inside Sales Rep to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a mechanical aptitude and experience in customer service while proficient in Microsoft Office. This position will interface directly with customers, vendors, outside sales and other customer service team members, to create quotes, process orders and help build and maintain customer relationships.

This position is a direct hire position with regular business hours on-site.

Position Overview:

• Respond to phone calls and emails to meet the needs of customers and vendors.
• Build strong, consultative relationships with clients, identifying their requirements and efficiently converting opportunities into quotes and sales.
• Process sales orders accurately and in a timely manner.
• Manage purchase orders alongside sales orders for seamless order fulfillment.
• Collaborate with the Outside Sales team to follow up on leads, address customer inquiries, and support project management.
• Work with vendors to ensure timely receipt of quotes.
• Negotiate pricing and lead times with vendors to establish competitive sales quotes for customers.
• Actively seek alternative supply sources to reduce costs and improve lead times.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in customer service and quoting.
• High school diploma required (college degree preferred).
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in customer service or sales.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Experience with QuickBooks is preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Reliable, punctual, and consistently dependable.

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8am to 5pm

Compensation & Benefits:

• $45,000-55,000
