Job Title: Data Engineer & Database Administrator

Job Summary:
We are seeking a Hybrid Data Engineer & Database Administrator to manage our data infrastructure and pipelines, primarily within the Microsoft Fabric environment. This role involves building and optimizing scalable ETL/ELT pipelines, maintaining cloud & on-premise databases, and ensuring efficient data access for reporting. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, a collaborative approach, and a commitment to data governance and security.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Engineering (50%): Build and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines, integrate data sources, and develop data models for analytics and reporting.
- Database Administration (40%): Manage cloud and on-premise databases (e.g., Azure, SQL), perform regular maintenance, optimize query performance, and ensure secure data storage.
- Professional Development (10%): Stay current on cloud technologies, data tools, and best practices.
Qualifications:
- 3 years of experience in data management, database administration, and ETL/ELT pipeline development (Microsoft SQL, Azure, etc.).
- Strong experience with cloud databases (Azure, Synapse), data integration, and performance tuning.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory, and data modeling.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex database issues and automate database tasks.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with business stakeholders.
Additional Info:
- Must be available for after-hours support as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field preferred, or equivalent experience.
- Software experience with PDI Enterprise or Back Office a plus.
