Diesel Technician

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background and experience in vehicle maintenance and automotive repair. As a Diesel Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel engines and related systems to ensure optimal performance and safety.

Duties

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines, including brake repair and air brake systems.
• Diagnose mechanical issues using diagnostic tools and equipment.
• Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify potential problems and recommend necessary repairs.
• Weld components as needed for repairs or modifications.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed and parts used during repairs.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow in the shop.
• Assist in heavy lifting and moving of equipment as required.
• Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in diesel technology.

Experience

• Proven experience in diesel engine repair, preferably in a dealership or similar environment.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in vehicle maintenance.
• Familiarity with Caterpillar engines is a plus.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to lift heavy components safely and effectively.
