Our client is looking to hire an IT Specialist will work alongside a small, tight-knit team to provide daily IT support, manage user accounts, and handle helpdesk requests. Additionally, they will assist in scripting and dashboard development, supporting networking infrastructure, firewalls, and security measures. This role involves working with SQL databases, Python scripting, Power BI dashboards, and basic HTML for internal production applications. Job Description:
IT Support & Administration
- Work alongside our small team of IT professionals to support employees and resolve technical issues.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues for users and in our data centers.
- Onboard and offboard employees, setup user accounts and workstations.
- Manage and maintain Microsoft Active Directory (AD), Office 365, and Azure AD (Hybrid Environment).
- Resolve email-related issues and administer Microsoft Exchange Admin Center
Database, Scripting & Dashboards
- Assist in developing and maintaining Python scripts to extract and process data from internal and cloud hosted databases.
- Collaborate with the team to build and update Power BI dashboards for production and business insights.
- Assist in designing and maintaining internal web pages (HTML) for data entry and process automation.
Networking & Security
- Assist in managing and improving our network infrastructure, including firewalls, switches, VLANs, and VPNs.
- Troubleshoot network connectivity issues and ensure reliable network performance.
- Work with the team to configure firewall rules and support IT security initiatives.
Qualifications
- 2 years experience in IT support, system administration, or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft AD, Office 365, and hybrid AD/AAD environments.
- Proficiency in Python scripting, SQL queries, and Power BI dashboard development.
- Basic HTML/CSS knowledge for internal web-based applications.
- Understanding of networking concepts (firewalls, VLANs, VPNs) and general IT security.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, collaborating on IT projects and daily tasks
- Hands-on experience with Fortinet, Cisco, or other firewall systems.
- Familiarity with automation tools or scripting for IT workflows.
- Experience with cloud security best practices.
- Related Certifications are a plus
