Our client, a national law firm, is seeking a Litigation Paralegal for their Raleigh, NC office. This is a permanent position offering a remote schedule.
Responsibilities:
- Organize records, documents, correspondence, and files into a manageable format.
- Prepare medical record chronologies.
- Analysis and review of case documents in order to assist in deposition and trial preparation.
- Contact clients, witnesses, experts, third parties, and opposing counsel to obtain information pertinent to the case matter.
- Assist attorneys in research, drafting pleadings, subpoenas for records, disclosures, interrogatories, discovery requests, motions while under supervision.
- Work closely with legal assistants to schedule and calendar for attorney depositions and activities related to depositions (i.e. court reporter, witnesses, opposing counsel).
- Track all requests made for documents and records, follow up on status of requests, and verify receipt of documents and records.
- Record all billable and non-billable time spent on case files and client matters.
- Follow the ethical requirements as set forth by the North Carolina Rules of Professional Conduct.
Requirements:
- Minimum of three years of experience
- A Paralegal certificate or degree is required
- Requires excellent computer and document organization skills, a working knowledge/experience with Word, Outlook and a familiarity with iManage or other document management systems
- iTimekeep and/or other timekeeping software proficiency is preferred and experience with e-discovery is a plus.
Salary : $65,000 - $75,000
