Job Summary
The Assistant Property Manager plays a crucial role in supporting the overall management and operations of the Class A commercial property. This position involves assisting the Property Manager in various administrative and operational tasks, ensuring that the property is well-maintained, and providing excellent customer service to tenants. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, a customer-focused attitude, and familiarity with property management software.
Duties
- Assist in managing day-to-day operations of the property, including tenant relations and maintenance requests.
- Perform data entry tasks related to tenant information, lease agreements, and maintenance records.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing tenant inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
- Support the leasing process by conducting property tours, processing applications, and preparing lease documents.
- Maintain accurate files and records for all tenants, including legal administrative documents and contracts.
- Collaborate with facilities management to ensure that all maintenance issues are addressed in a timely manner.
- Utilize property management software such as Yardi or OneSite for tracking leases, payments, and maintenance requests.
- Assist with compliance related to Section 8 housing programs as needed.
- Participate in sales efforts to attract new tenants and retain current residents through effective communication and marketing strategies.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in property management or a related field is preferred.
- Proficiency in property management software is highly desirable.
- Strong data entry skills with attention to detail to maintain accurate records.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with tenants and vendors.
- Familiarity with facilities management practices is a plus.
- Ability to handle legal administrative tasks related to contracts and tenant agreements.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
