Job Overview: We are seeking a Manager, Business Development to lead a team of Business Development Representatives (BDRs) responsible for driving campaigns that will increase revenue with business customers and increase engagement and adoption of our software and case management tools among Community-Based Organizations (CBOs). This role requires deep expertise and a passion for using technology to create social impact. The ideal candidate will be a strategic and data-driven leader who can develop and execute marketing and outreach strategies, manage a high-performing team, and drive measurable growth in both sales and CBO engagement.
\n- Team Leadership & Performance Management:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of BDRs focused on expanding sales and CBO engagement.
- Set clear performance targets and ensure team members meet or exceed quota for sales and outreach and adoption.
- Provide ongoing coaching, feedback, and professional development opportunities.
- Go-to-Market & Engagement Strategy:
- Develop and execute marketing and outreach strategies that align with business objectives and drive sales and CBO awareness and adoption.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Marketing, Sales, Community Solutions) to refine messaging and targeting strategies.
- Ensure BDR outreach is data-driven, leveraging analytics to optimize engagement and conversion rates.
- Pipeline & Relationship Development:
- Oversee the team’s sales and outreach efforts, ensuring high-quality engagement with CBOs through calls, emails, and events.
- Monitor and report on pipeline progress, providing insights to leadership on engagement trends and opportunities.
- Work closely with Sales and Customer Success teams to transition qualified leads effectively.
- Process Optimization & Enablement:
- Implement best practices, tools, and workflows to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of BDR outreach.
- Ensure the team is fully trained on messaging, value propositions, and software functionalities to communicate effectively with all customers.
- Stay informed on market trends, competitor activity, and emerging opportunities within the healthcare, government, employer and nonprofit and social services sector.
- 5 years of experience in marketing, business development, or sales, with at least 2 years managing a team.
- Proven success leading a quota-carrying team focused on engagement and adoption of SaaS or case management solutions.
- Experience in CRM software (HubSpot, Oracle, or Sage) and CMS platforms (WordPress, Joomla, Drupal, etc.)
- Experience working with or marketing to Community-Based Organizations, nonprofits, or social services agencies is a strong plus.
- Experience in growth marketing, demand generation, or partner engagement strategies.
- Excellent communication, coaching, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proven experience in B2B project management is a plus
- Knowledge of social service and health care preferred
- This job is based on-site in Austin, TX.
- This is largely a sedentary role; standard office equipment is used, such as laptops, monitors and headsets, if needed.
- Travel may be required
