Job Title: Electrical Utility Project Manager
Job Type: Full-Time
FindTalent is currently seeking an experienced Electrical Utility Project Manager to oversee multiple construction projects within the utility sector for one of our valued clients. This role involves managing electrical distribution, substation construction, and solar field projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely and budget-conscious execution. Projects will range from under $1M to $25M in scope.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage all aspects of project construction, including planning, execution, and closeout.
Provide leadership and direction to project teams to ensure efficiency and success.
Oversee daily management services throughout the project lifecycle.
Coordinate and attend project planning, pre-design, and design meetings.
Conduct site inspections and ensure design compliance with contract requirements.
Review, track, and approve/reject project submittals as necessary.
Maintain accurate project documentation, including contracts, plans, specifications, and reports.
Monitor project progress against schedules, objectives, and budgets.
Ensure projects adhere to safety regulations and industry standards.
Provide timely reports and updates to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and accountability.
Qualifications & Experience:
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in construction management, preferably in medium to high voltage transmission, substation construction, or solar projects.
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering preferred, but relevant experience will be considered.
Strong proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Project, and PowerPoint; Primavera experience preferred.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage professionally with clients and teams.
Experience managing project schedules, RFIs, submittals, and financial tracking.
OSHA safety training preferred.
Experience handling federal and state contracts is a plus.
