Position Overview
The Senior Electrical Engineer will play a pivotal role in the design and execution of underground transmission line projects, with a focus on complex engineering challenges and trenchless installation methods. This role involves direct client engagement, project management, and mentorship of junior engineers. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in underground transmission line design and a proactive approach to solving engineering challenges. This position offers a hybrid work model, combining in-office collaboration with remote flexibility.
Key Responsibilities
Lead underground transmission line design projects, incorporating best practices and innovative solutions.
Apply trenchless installation methods and evaluate project feasibility based on site-specific conditions.
Conduct complex engineering calculations, prepare technical reports, and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Oversee quality assurance and quality control processes to ensure project accuracy and consistency.
Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering knowledge sharing and professional growth within the team.
Participate in project scheduling, resource planning, and management meetings to align engineering efforts with project goals.
Coordinate with clients, vendors, and subcontractors, ensuring clear communication and successful project execution.
Conduct site visits as needed to support field data collection, resolve technical issues, and verify project progress.

Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field from an accredited institution.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in electrical engineering, with a focus on underground transmission line design.
Proficiency in engineering design principles, codes, and standards.
Strong skills in engineering software and tools for design and analysis.
Excellent problem-solving abilities and strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel for project needs.
Preferred Qualifications:
5 years of experience in underground transmission line design.
Experience with trenchless installation techniques.
Engineering-in-Training (EIT) or Professional Engineer (PE) certification.
Knowledge of right-of-way acquisition, permitting processes, and utility coordination.
Experience with construction planning and field support.
