What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dance/Theatre Arts Advisor position at FINE ARTS DEPARTMENT?

REQUIRED:
- Bachelor’s Degree of Fine Arts;
- Valid Texas Teacher’s Certificate or enrollment in an Alternative Certification Program or equivalent.
- A minimum of five (5) years of successful Dance teaching experience OR
- A minimum of five (5) years of successful Theatre Arts teaching experience;
- Knowledge of State and UIL policies governing fine arts activities and
- Ability to implement policies and procedures.
Preferred:
- Secondary or All-Level Certification
The role of the Dance/ Theatre Arts Advisor is to provide expertise and leadership to the dance and theatre arts programs. The Dance/Theatre Arts Advisor is to assume responsibility for the coordination of the dance and theatre arts competitions and activities across the District. The Advisor is to ensure that these activities are conducted in a manner consistent with Board Policy, State Statutes and Standards of applicable regulatory agencies.
