Job Description

The Site Manager works with the production manager and sales/development team to take the scope of the project that has been built on paper and bring it to reality with the help of the field crews and subs. The site manager will serve as the daily contact for the client as the work is being completed.

Responsibilities: The Site Manager is responsible for completing the following tasks and activities:

  • Attends the sub-site walkthrough in the preliminary stages of a project.
  • Participates in project handoff with the Production manager and development team.
  • Coordinates trades and works with field crews in the day-to-day work completing the project.
  • Communicate with the clients on a daily and weekly basis. Letting them know what to expect and what has or will happen.
  • Attends biweekly meetings with the client and development team to review project progress, invoicing, and more.
  • Attends the site manager coordination meeting weekly to review progress with the development team, production manager, and field supervisor.
  • Communicates with field supervisor needs for the field crews each week.
  • Set up and meet with city inspectors for job site inspections as needed.
  • Ordering and purchasing of material needed to perform the work.
  • Able to read and understand blueprint drawings and written specifications; work orders, change orders, and all other other carpentry-related job documents.
  • Adjust and rework schedule as necessary to ensure project success and forward motion.
  • Upload pictures and job logs on builder trends daily/weekly.
  • Create a job schedule upload it to buildertrendsd, and adjust it as needed.
  • Report difficulties with subs or employees to management.
  • Security of the job site. Assuring that it is locked and no equipment or tools are left out or visible.
  • Maintain a safe and clean job site.

Accountabilities: The Site Manager is accountable for completing the following tasks and activities to the following measurements of success and standards of quality and performance: Oversight of daily work on the job site.

  • Creating and meeting the schedule
  • Meeting and following the scope of work outlined
  • Quality control of the job
  • Safety and cleanliness of the site
  • Communication with Field, subs, product,o n and project management, and owner

SEducationcationn, And Experience

  • A minimum of Four (4) years of s carpenter experience.
  • A good working knowledge of related building trades.
  • Ability to draw appropriate sketches to communicate details to team members and others.
  • Mathematical and analytical skills necessary to do material and labor estimates.
  • Great attention to detail.
  • Ability to adapt to different situations, reschedule,e and rework as necessary to keep schedule.
