ABOUT THE ROLE:
Fine Fettle is dedicated to delivering the highest quality cannabis products while maintaining a commitment to safety, compliance, and sustainability. We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented and motivated Production Manager to oversee post-harvest and packaging operations in a state-of-the-art production facility in Bloomfield, CT. The Production Manager will report to the Director of Facility Operations and Production. As a key player in our operations, you’ll be instrumental in ensuring the quality and consistency of cannabis products our Connecticut customers love and trust. PRODUCTION MANAGER RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Serve as a Key Employee [ACKE] within the facility, ensuring seamless operations by providing support and coverage for team members as needed.
- Manage and coordinate teams responsible for post-harvest, drying, curing, trimming and packaging.
- Proven experience implementing and optimizing automation systems in post-harvest and packaging processes to improve efficiency, reduce labor-intensive tasks, and maintain product quality.
- Provide training, mentorship, and performance evaluations to staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Plan and monitor daily production schedules to ensure deadlines are met while ensuring compliance and quality.
- Oversee accurate recordkeeping for all activities, including inventory tracking and production metrics, using seed-to-sale systems (e.g., BioTrack).
- Maintain strict quality control standards throughout the production process to ensure compliance with Fine Fettle’s standards and state regulations.
- Operate and monitor new, state-of-the-art cannabis production machines and coordinate necessary repairs or maintenance.
- Enforce safety protocols and ensure adherence to workplace health and safety standards.
- Demonstrate a meticulous approach to inspecting cannabis products for quality, consistency, and compliance with Fine Fettle’s standards and state regulations.
- Ensure the smooth flow of production, including proper input of cannabis material and packaging.
- Monitor and maintain equipment for proper and continuous functioning and minimize downtime.
- Tear down and reassemble mechanical assemblies as needed for maintenance or troubleshooting.
- Oversee Inspections, maintenance, and troubleshooting of pneumatic systems, including dual-action cylinders and solenoid valves.
- Perform frequent adjustments on multiple machine components to maintain optimal performance.
- Work with vendors to stay up to date with equipment parts, improvements and processes.
- Stay informed about updates and advancements in machinery and processes.
- Accurately record data related to packaging activities and movements.
- Ensure all cultivation activities comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Perform all tasks set by management in a safe and efficient manner.
- This role routinely uses standard office equipment, technology, and software.

PRODUCTION MANAGER REQUIREMENTS:
- Be 21 or older, a US Citizen, and willing to relocate to Connecticut for this opportunity.
- Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow standard operating procedures.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Ability to wear hearing protection and standard PPE.
- Ability to lift up to 50 Pounds consistently, and must be able to bend, squat, reach, kneel, walk, etc.
- Ability to pass a Federal Background Check with no felony convictions
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
- Familiarity with mechanical, pneumatic and electrical systems.
- Passion for the cannabis industry and commitment to producing high-quality products.
- Familiarity with seed-to-sale software and data collection (e.g., BioTrack, Metrc)
- Familiarity with state and federal cannabis laws.
- Ability to communicate in English
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Understanding of quality benchmarks for cannabis flower, ensuring only premium products reach the market.
- 2 years experience in production management, post-harvest operations, or similar role in the cannabis or similar industry preferred
- Bachelors degree preferred
- Familiarity with harvesting and post-harvest activities like Drying, Curing, Trimming, Packaging, etc.
- Cleanliness, GMP familiarity
