Roofing/Siding Technician

Overview: As a Roofing and Siding Technician, you will oversee the installation and maintenance of roofing and siding projects. Also, you will be completing service calls and coordinating with our service department to maintain schedules. Your responsibilities will include coordinating with project managers, supervising crew members, ensuring safety compliance, and maintaining high-quality standards in workmanship. You will play a crucial role in managing resources efficiently and completing projects within deadlines.

Responsibilities:

Project Coordination:

• Collaborate with project managers to plan and schedule roofing and siding projects.
• Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials.
• Assign tasks to crew members and ensure adherence to project timelines.

Supervision and Training:

• Lead and supervise crew members during the installation and maintenance of roofing and siding.
• Provide guidance and training to team members on proper techniques and safety procedures.
• Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback for improvement.

Quality Control:

• Ensure that all work meets quality standards and specifications.
• Conduct inspections at various stages of the project to identify and address any issues.

Safety Compliance:

• Enforce safety protocols and regulations to prevent accidents and injuries.
• Investigate and report any safety incidents or violations.

Equipment and Material Management:

• Candidates must be equipped with their own tools.
• Ensure proper maintenance and functionality of tools and equipment.

Service:

• Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and preferences.
• Complete service repairs in a timely fashion and communicate back to service department.

Requirements:

Experience:

• Proven experience in roofing and siding installation, with at least 5 years in a supervisory role.
• Familiarity with a variety of roofing materials, such as asphalt shingles, metal roofing, and tiles, as well as siding materials like vinyl, wood, and fiber cement.
• Bilingual - preferred

Leadership Skills:

• Strong leadership abilities with the ability to motivate and inspire team members.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with crew members, project managers, and clients.

Safety Consciousness:

• Thorough understanding of safety regulations and protocols in the construction industry.
• Certification in relevant safety training programs (e.g., OSHA certification) is a plus.

Organizational Skills:

• Ability to plan, prioritize, and delegate tasks efficiently to meet project deadlines.
• Attention to detail in monitoring project progress and ensuring quality control.

Physical Stamina:

• Ability to work in various weather conditions and perform service calls.

Valid Driver's License:

• Possession of a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $48,000.00 - $52,000.00 per year
