What are the responsibilities and job description for the Music Teacher - Guitar Instructor position at FineArtsMatter?
FineArtsMatter is Now Hiring Guitar Teachers for After-School ‘Guitar Club’ (Guitar) Classes at local elementary schools in the Metro Atlanta area! Our ‘Guitar Club’ Teachers bring provided guitars to local elementary schools to instruct after-school group guitar classes for 2nd-5th graders.
Music Teacher - Guitar Instructor Pay & Perks:
- $60 per class
- Direct Deposit Payroll, Bi-weekly Payment
- W-2 Employee status
Music Teacher - Guitar Instructor Requirements:
- Necessary availability is 2pm to 4pm Monday through Friday, at least 3 days
- Must be able to teach up to 15 students in each class
- Must have reliable transportation
- Must be able to pass a background check
- Must be able to transport and lift materials/instruments (35lbs)
- Have experience teaching private or group music lessons (preferred)
- Have experience working with young/beginner students, or are eager to learn
- Have experience working with groups of students, or are eager to learn
- Music education degree and/or extensive experience (preferred)
Music Teacher - Guitar Instructor Job Details:
- An encouraging work environment to share your love of music
- 3-5 classes per week, 2 hour long shifts - 1 hour class, 30 minutes arrival and prep, 30 minutes dismissal and clean up
- 6-10 hours a week after-school during the school year
- Additional private lesson opportunities
- All teaching materials are provided, will remain with you throughout the duration of the semester
- Full curriculum and teaching/classroom management methods for every lesson
- Thorough teacher training sessions twice per semester
- In-class support from dedicated coaches throughout each semester
