Job Description
As an Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Manager for Fineline Industries LLC., dba Centurion-Supreme Boats you will be responsible for the administration, implementation and enforcement of plant safety and environmental policies to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations which meet or exceed established goals. The ideal candidate for this role is an experienced EHS professional who has managed operations in a large facility.
Requirements:Essential Duties/Responsibilities
- Accountable for identifying and evaluating those conditions, practices, and personal behaviors, which result in human, facility, equipment, and product losses for the company's manufacturing facility.
- Develops, communicates, coordinates, and implements comprehensive loss control processes to reduce those losses, and evaluates and directs compliance with applicable governmental regulation and services in a support role in managing Safety, Workers' Compensation and claims management.
- Responsible for company safety programs, including Injury and Illness Prevention Plan (IIPP).
- Responsible for employee safety and all industry applicable trainings, e.g. Forklift driving, proper use of power tools and/or machinery.
- Responsible for employee accident investigations and reporting.
- In Environmental Role: The EHS Manager is responsible for managing the execution of all environmental programs at the company's facility.
- Responsible for insuring compliance with environmental permits or other applicable authorizations and regulations of compliance-related tasks.
- Responsible for the company's environmental program which consists of but not limited to wastewater and storm water discharges; air emissions; universal hazardous waste management; hazardous materials management; and compliance with other corresponding state and local requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications| Education requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in EHS related field or Engineering
- 4 years of progressive EHS experience in manufacturing
- Strong regulatory knowledge of OSHA, EPA, DOT, Worker’s Compensation
- Experience managing Title V Air permits and Large Quantity Generator Hazardous Waste Operations
- Prior experience with safety procedures in a manufacturing environment with such experience gained through work and or study.
- Experience in a multi- site manufacturing organization and experience with environmental compliance management are pluses.
- Experience with Emergency and Spill Response and OSHA HAZWOPER
- Experience with Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPP)
- Proficiencies in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Power Point
- Self-confidence and presentation skills to address employees about safety.
- Ability to handle emergency situations calmly.
- Must be a licensed driver with a good driving record (subject to MVR)
- Strong project management skills
- Ability to write technical reports and programs.
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and decision-making abilities
- Excellent verbal, written communication, presentation, and training skills.
- Strong understanding of incident investigation principles and root cause analysis.
