Description:
We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Production Manager to oversee our manufacturing processes and ensure efficient production operations. The Production Manager will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and controlling manufacturing activities to achieve production targets, maintain quality standards, and optimize resource utilization.
Essential Duties
Oversee boat production process from start to finish.- Supervise and evaluate performance of production personnel.
- Maintain and manage production schedule.
- Ensure output meets quality standards throughout all phases of production.
- Participate in strategic planning and decision-making.
- Share company's mission, vision and values through operations and drive employee engagement.
- Ensures labor cost, equipment efficiency and material are optimized.
- Champion, lead and execute cost reduction and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure adherence to policies and procedures. Determine and manage staffing requirements.
- Works in conjunction with Leader Team to deliver on the corporate strategy.
- Implement and oversee key performance indicators (KPI’s) related to production efficiency, labor utilization, quality, and safety.
- Oversee training programs to improve workforce capabilities and reduce turnover.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Minimum requirement: High School Diploma or equivalent. Preferred qualifications include a certificate or college degree. Two to three years of related work experience or a comparable mix of education and experience.- 10 years of manufacturing management experience (boat manufacturing experience preferred)
- Exhibited strong leadership qualities and proficiency in team management to consistently meet or exceed objectives.
- Strong project management skills, including the ability to plan, execute, and oversee projects to ensure timely and cost-effective completion.
- Must demonstrate exemplary performance in attitude, attendance and ability.
- Proficient in quality assurance standards and health & safety compliance.
- Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Possess excellent organizational skills and a high level of attention to detail.
- Lean Six Sigma experience preferred.
