Job Summary
Our manufacturing company is searching for a Production Supervisor who has previous machine shop supervisory experience. The successful candidate will be responsible managing workflow and driving accountability thorough the shop. Essential Responsibilities:
- Consistently look for opportunities to improve production times and drive quality standards.
- Works with engineering and purchasing meet/exceed quality standards and on time delivery.
- Drive continuous improvement by coaching and developing employees through cross training.
- Responsible for directing order workflow by assigning duties based on employee capability and training.
- Responsible for scheduling shipping and receiving materials to fulfill job requirements.
- Insure routine maintenance of shop machinery occurs on a regular basis.
- Prepares various production, order and shipment status reports for Operations Management.
- Assists other departments when necessary to resolve questions or problems.
- Manage attendance and time off requests for shop employees.
- Insure quality standards are met through understanding and implementation of the Quality Management System.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- Shop supervisor experience required.
- Understanding of Lean principles.
- 2 years’ experience in manufacturing supervisory position.
- Cross functional communication skills.
- Good math skills.
- Knowledge of E2 or other ERP system(s) is a plus.
- Microsoft Office experience.
- Reporting and data analysis skills.
- Employee Leadership and Coaching skills.
- CNC Machining and/ or Welding experience a plus.
- Self-motivated with a strong desire to succeed.
- Flexibility to effectively adapt to changing conditions and job assignments.
- Ability to work well with others.
- Understanding of lean manufacturing principles.
- Understanding of Quality Management Standards ISO 9001 and/or AS9100.
- Salary will be determined based on experience.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $40,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
Work Location: In person
