Facility Maintenance Technician:
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Facility Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the proper functioning, maintenance, and repair of the physical infrastructure and systems of our facilities. This position requires a hands-on approach to building repairs, routine inspections, and preventive maintenance to ensure a safe, efficient, and well-maintained working environment for employees, clients, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform general maintenance and repair work on HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, lighting, and other facility equipment.
- Conduct routine inspections of building systems to ensure they are operating correctly and efficiently.
- Maintain, PM, and repair various pieces of automated equipment including: Robots, Transfer lines, Saws, Drills, Sandblasters, Press Break, Shear, Ironworker, Plasma processing stations, etc.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues as they arise.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes in all maintenance activities.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections.
- Assist with setting up and maintaining equipment and supplies in a safe and organized manner.
- Respond to emergency maintenance requests and resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Perform preventative maintenance on building systems and equipment to prevent future malfunctions.
- Coordinate with vendors and external contractors for specialized repairs and services when necessary.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Assist with the overall cleanliness, safety, and appearance of the facility.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certifications or training in facility maintenance or a related field preferred.
- Proven experience as a Facility Maintenance Technician or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and lighting.
- Ability to read blueprints, technical manuals, and schematics.
- Safely and effectively drive and operate various forklifts and overhead cranes.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Strong time-management skills and ability to prioritize tasks.
- Basic knowledge of OSHA and safety standards.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Physical ability to perform manual labor and lift heavy objects as needed.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Working Conditions:
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Occasional after-hours work may be required for emergency repairs or facility upgrades.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform tasks that require standing, bending, and reaching.
