Offset Press Operator
SUMMARY: Responsible for the completion of assigned job(s) for the shift, on time and in full. The work load will typically be estimated for 7 hours of make ready and production; leaving an hour for cleanup and maintenance. Also responsible for the quality of the products produced and are expected to meet the quality standards for each job.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, DUTIES, & RESPONSIBILITES: The following reflects management’s definition of essential functions for this job but does not restrict the tasks that may be assigned. Be primarily responsible for efficiently operating Offset Printing equipment up to 4 colors; this includes cleaning and maintaining the equipment.
Set up and make the press ready to include loading of paper, inking, mounting plates and any other adjustments necessary for complete change over.
Check jobs prior to putting on press as to position of printing, ink color, copy stock, plates, etc.
Inspect furnished raw materials for quality and accuracy.
Ability to interpret instructions and specifications for each job.
Inspect finished stocks for quality and accuracy.
Package products in a professional manor.
Empty waste cans when necessary.
Reports to work prepared and on time.
Other duties as appropriated.
POSITION TYPE/REQUIRED HOURS OF WORK:
This is a full-time position. Hours of work Monday through Friday, time of day is depending on shift, 8 hours per day unless otherwise stated, 40 hours per week. No travel is required for this position. This position requires the employee to work on-site at the facility they are assigned to.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required:
· High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent combination of education and experience.
· At least one year industry experience.
· Ability to learn new equipment and procedures as required

· Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm
· Acute attention to detail; Safety Minded/Orientated
Preferred:
Two years experience running Offset presses
