Package Design EngineerSUMMARY: The Package Design Engineer will design packaging for the company’s Clients finished products, ensuring adequate protection of the product and accurate and attractive display for marketing purposes. Package Design Engineer will help the team identify the best practices for our overall supply chain Packaging Operation and help us implement process improvements. Be primarily responsible for efficientlypackaging for the company’s Clients finished products.·Collaborates with staff from marketing, manufacturing, graphics, and shipping departments to optimize package design.·Oversees the design of the finished product packaging, emphasizing marketability and cost efficiency.·Tests packaging systems and components for new and existing products.·Uses computer-assisted design (CAD) software to develop point-of-sale displays for products and packaging.·Researches and introduces prototype packaging using materials such as folding cartons, plastics, and corrugated shipping containers.·Drafts specifications for new packing ·materials that will adequately protect finished products.·Performs other duties as required.OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:·N/A SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: ·N/A POSITION TYPE/REQUIRED HOURS OF WORK: ·This is a full-time position. Hours of work Monday through Friday, time of day is depending on shift, 8 hours per day unless otherwise stated, 40 hours per week. No travel is required for this position.
