What are the responsibilities and job description for the Head of Finance position at FINESSE?
Role : Head of Finance
Location : Los Angeles, CA
Reporting to : Chief Strategy Officer
As the first leader in the Finance department at FINESSE, you will be building, leading, and scaling the Finance department in your role as Director of Finance. You will ensure that financial reporting is accurate and insightful, communicating directly with department leaders and the C-suite. You will oversee the finance operations for FINESSE, architecting scalable processes and solutions that are able to keep up with the breakneck speed that FINESSE is growing year over year. Your remit will span from FP&A to accounting to taxes, and support our international operations.
Responsibilities include :
- Manage and direct all financial operations, encompassing analysis, forecasting, planning, and budgeting.
- Identify and drive initiatives to address areas for improvement, demonstrating the capacity to deeply understand data and lead cross-functional projects
- Scale and innovate upon current processes and systems, taking FINESSE’s financial prowess to the next level
- Expand a robust accounting infrastructure to support multi-entity, multi-currency operations with comprehensive accrual accounting
- Oversee the production of accurate, consolidated financial statements in full compliance with US GAAP, UK GAAP, and IFRS standards
- Provide in-depth analysis of key financial metrics such as P&L statements, cash flow, balance sheets, and unit economics
- Oversee group tax strategy and compliance for US and UK entities, including transfer pricing, corporate income tax, VAT, and sales tax obligations
- Provide valuable insights and guidance as a financial subject matter expert, actively contributing to the overall direction of the business.
- Build a high-performing Finance team, cultivating an environment of excellence.
