  • Serve as a point of contact to connect neighbors to services and resources, offering a warm hand-off when appropriate.
  • Help neighbors navigate social services and provide guidance on accessing support.
  • Program Promotion & Recruitment:
  • Recruit neighbors for participation in various programs offered by the council, such as educational workshops, youth development initiatives, senior programs, or community improvement projects.

  • Utilize Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Drive, etc.), Canva, and Slack for project management, document sharing, and communication with team members.
  • Track outreach efforts and report on progress using a variety of digital tools to ensure effective and timely follow-up with residents.
  • Independence & Initiative:
  • Take initiative in identifying new outreach opportunities, creating strategies, and carrying out activities with minimal supervision.
  • Manage and prioritize multiple outreach projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail and deadlines.

Qualifications:

  • Proven ability to build relationships with diverse community groups and engage residents in meaningful ways.
  • Strong communication skills (both verbal and written), with the ability to interact effectively with people of all backgrounds.
