About the Role:Finfare Financial is looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to support the finance department’s on-going growth initiatives. We are looking for someone with a successful track record as trusted counsel to executive leadership and management teams. An ideal candidate will have experience with monthly closing operations, cash management, payables, fixed assets, and auditing.What You’ll Do:
- Oversee the general ledger, ensuring proper recording and classification of transactions,
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial reports on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis using excel and QuickBooks in accordance with GAAP.
- Manage the fixed asset decision schedule for hardware, tenant improvements, furniture, and other assets.
- Manage prepaid expenses and amortization schedules.
- Provide financial insights and variance analysis to support decision-making in assisting the budgeting and forecasting process.
- Review financial information for accuracy, report errors and suggest ways to improve efficiency.
- Reconcile complex accounts and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Perform bank reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, and maintain record for all balance sheet accounts.
- Manage vendor invoices, process payables in Bill.com including coding invoices and releasing payments.
- Manage billing, A/R and invoicing for customers using stripe to include management of subscription invoicing.
- Review contracts and assist in negotiating favorable terms.
- Previous auditing experience is highly desirable.
- Previous public accounting experience is highly desirable.
What You’ll Need:
- 5 years’ experience in progressive corporate accounting roles.
- Direct experience working with Quickbooks and bill.com.
- Experience with rapidly growing startups is strongly preferred.
- Experience in fintech, banking, or financial services industry is strongly preferred.'
- Experience with managing employee stock options.
- Exceptional ability to monitor, allocate, and control finances on a large scale.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbally and written.
- In-depth knowledge of finance, accounting, and numeracy, particularly relating to consolidation and fixed assets.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to present financial analysis and projections to company stakeholders and potential investors.
- Excellent problem-solving attitude and abilities.
- BA Degree in business related discipline, i.e. accounting, business administration, finance, etc.
