Key Responsibilities
- Operate heavy equipment such as ready-mix trucks, front loaders, and transporters to ensure efficient production and delivery of concrete batches. Must be able to pour the forms without issue after 6 months.
- Manage the loading, unloading, and storage of raw materials like cement, aggregates, and admixtures.
- Accurately measure and mix materials according to specified formulas to produce concrete batches that meet quality standards.
- Perform thorough daily pre- and post-operation inspections to ensure all equipment is in optimal working condition, promptly reporting any issues to supervisors.
- Adhere to all safety protocols, including consistently wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and following safe operating procedures.
- Monitor the quality of concrete batches, making adjustments as necessary to maintain consistency and meet specifications.
- Maintain accurate records of production data, equipment usage, maintenance, and any incidents or near misses.
- Ensure the batch plant and surrounding areas are kept clean and free of debris to maintain a safe and efficient work environment.
- Shows desire to learn, follows directions well, works great with others, and maintains a positive attitude.
- This is a full-time position that may vary outside the normal work hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Shifts may include early mornings, nights, overtime, and weekends to meet production needs.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds without assistance on a regular basis.
- Comfortable working in various weather conditions.
- Minimum 6 months of experience operating heavy equipment in a batch plant without accident.
- Knowledge of equipment operation, maintenance, and safety protocols.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
