We are seeking a highly organized and professional Front Desk Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for patients and visitors, providing exceptional customer service while managing administrative tasks. This role requires proficiency in medical terminology, insurance verification, and familiarity with electronic health record systems. The Front Desk Coordinator will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth operations at our facility.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients and visitors warmly, ensuring a positive first impression.
- Manage incoming phone calls with excellent phone etiquette, directing calls as necessary.
- Schedule appointments and maintain the appointment calendar efficiently.
- Verify insurance information and assist with patient inquiries regarding coverage.
- Process patient check-ins and check-outs, ensuring all documentation is completed accurately.
- Maintain patient records in compliance with privacy regulations, utilizing systems such as Meditech and Epic.
- Assist in the development and management of care plans as needed.
- Provide administrative support to clinical staff, including managing correspondence and filing.
- Stay updated on dental terminology and ICD-9 coding to assist with patient documentation.
Experience
- Previous experience as a medical receptionist or in a similar administrative role is preferred.
- Familiarity with insurance verification processes, Medicare guidelines, and care plans is advantageous.
- Proficient in using electronic health record systems such as Meditech or Epic.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on customer service.
- Knowledge of dental terminology is a plus.

Pay: $19.00 - $21.50 per hour
