What are the responsibilities and job description for the Business Development Specialist (PT) position at Finger Lakes Community College?
The Business Development Specialist provides outreach to our business partners to promote our pathways and provide needed office support for enrollment into the programs, as well as to track the key performance indicators (KPIs) of the Workforce Development Training Pathways grant. This position generates new partnerships with local businesses and FLCC. The Business Development Specialist will recruit potential students into our pathways.

This is a part-time, grant-funded position.
Qualifications:
- Educational Background: Bachelors degree in Business or a related field. Masters degree preferred.
- Experience: Three years of working in the private industry. Proven ability to work with businesses on partnerships. Effective communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written required. Background in marketing and advertising is preferred, as well as the ability to work with spreadsheet and CRM programs. Knowledge of instructional design preferred.
Essential Functions:
- Acts as a representative of FLCC to our business partners, informing them of the college's educational opportunities.
- Identifies and cultivates partnerships to expand outreach and enrollment opportunities.
- Plans and coordinates industry events to promote FLCCs programs and services.
- Tracks meetings with business partners, including dates, times, email addresses, phone numbers, and business addresses in our CRM.
- Maintain up-to-date information on business partners, contacts, and interactions.
- Increases enrollment in Finger Lakes Community College pathway programs through marketing, targeted recruitment, and community partnerships.
- Provides office support as needed to ensure seamless enrollment into FLCCs programs, including scheduling, correspondence, presentations, and overseeing student records.
- Tracks all KPIs for this grant to ensure we meet our target goals. Prepare detailed reports on KPIs, enrollment metrics, and partnership activities.
- Collaborates with other members of Workforce and Career Solutions and the college to ensure consistency in messaging and avoid duplication of effort.
- Work with other departments within the College to ensure alignment and effective communication.

Benefits and Salary Range
- Starting hourly rate is $23.71 - $27.33 and is commensurate with qualifications
