Business Faculty - Digital Marketing and Business (FA)

Finger Lakes Community College is seeking a dedicated and experienced Digital Marketing and Business Faculty to join our Business Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching a variety of business courses, developing curriculum, and contributing to the growth and success of our business program. As a member of the Business Department, you may be called upon to teach courses in various topics such as Economics, Accounting, General Business, and Marketing. FLCC offers five different modalities for courses: Asynchronous Online, In-person, Hybrid, Hyflex, and Synchronous Online. As Faculty in the Business Department, you may be asked to teach in any of these modalities, ensuring a dynamic and flexible learning environment for our students.

Key Responsibilities:

We are seeking an equity-minded educator who is committed to FLCC's mission, vision, and values.

1. Teaches undergraduate courses in marketing, including but not limited to Principles of Marketing, Consumer Behavior, Advertising, and Introduction to Business.
2. Develops and updates course syllabi, lesson plans, and instructional materials.
3. Engages students through innovative teaching methods and active learning strategies.
4. Advises and mentors students on academic and career goals. As well as curricular and co-curricular student activities. This individual may serve as a club advisor for an entrepreneurship and/or marketing and/or business club!
5. Participates in departmental meetings, curriculum development, and assessment activities.
6. Contributes to the college community through service on committees and participation in college events.
7. Stays current with industry trends and incorporate relevant developments into the curriculum.
8. Engages in professional development activities to enhance teaching effectiveness.

Minimum Qualifications:

1. Master's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
2. Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience.
3. Strong knowledge of marketing principles, digital marketing, and current industry trends.
4. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
5. Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in education.
6. Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and students from diverse backgrounds.
7. Proficiency in Artificial Intelligence (AI) applications relevant to marketing, including data-driven marketing strategies, customer segmentation, and personalized marketing campaigns.
8. Experience with digital marketing tools and platforms, such as social media management tools, email marketing software, and digital advertising platforms.
9. Knowledge of current trends in digital marketing and their impact on consumer behavior, brand management, and marketing analytics.

Benefits and Salary Range

1. Salary will depend on rank according to education and experience – Starting salary: Instructor: $56,132; Assistant Professor: $62,567.
