Finger Lakes Community College (FLCC) is searching for a 10-month, dedicated full-time Nursing Faculty. This position would be based in the Nursing Laboratory, with the primary responsibility being oversight of our simulation program. Each nursing course provides instruction to the students 1 -3 times per semester utilizing our simulation rooms and mannikins. In our recently expanded nursing laboratory, we have four high-fidelity mannikins, including control rooms and debriefing rooms. Our rooms directly simulate an acute care hospital setting that includes medication rooms with up-to-date Pyxis (medication dispensing systems). This position would include availability Monday-Friday to assist with set up/breakdown of simulation sessions, scheduling, troubleshooting of technology and mannikins. As an FLCC faculty member you will have the opportunity to work with a supportive group of faculty in each course.

Faculty will be hired at the academic rank commensurate with experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Teaching
Develops and delivers curriculum related to simulation experiences within each nursing course. This will include running simulation sessions and debriefing sessions.
Assist faculty in setting up and breaking down simulation rooms.
Be available during simulations to troubleshoot technological issues with the simulation equipment and mannikins.
Order and inventory needed simulations supplies as needed.
Fosters an inclusive and engaging learning environment.
Participates in curriculum development and assessment activities, including accreditation activities.
Advising, Service & Professional Development
Advises and mentors students, supporting their academic and career goals.
Serves on college committees and participate in faculty development opportunities.
Engages in opportunities for growth in all facets of effective, inclusive teaching and learning.
Minimum Qualifications:
Master's degree in Nursing required. Candidates enrolled in a Master’s program in Nursing may be considered.
License to practice nursing in NYS.
Acute care experience within the last 3 years.
Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and students from diverse backgrounds.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience teaching is preferred.

- Salary will depend on rank according to education and experience – Starting salary: Instructor: $56,132; Assistant Professor: $62,567.
