As an Ortho Tech, viable clinical skills are gained through engaging in patient care. Our Ortho Techs work very closely with the surgical and nursing team. They are able to gain skilled specialty experience, as this position will work directly with braces and splints.
Position Summary
The Ortho Tech assists the surgeons and mid-level providers with ortho care to pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients. Responsibilities include rooming patients, obtaining vital signs, medication reconciliation, and readying for their appointment. Obtains relevant medical information and records in EMR. May assist with prep for in-office surgical procedures and diagnostic tests as needed. The Ortho tech will be trained to measure and apply splints and braces.
Experience:
Prior experience in a physician office or other medical setting, or completion of accredited school for Medical Assistants. High School Degree or equivalent, will be considered.
Hourly Pay Range: $18.14-$19.80
Ortho Tech Hours: Mon-Fri 7:30 am -4:30 pm. No weekends or holidays
Salary : $18 - $20
