As part of our team, you will play a key role in ensuring that every property under your care embodies this commitment. We are seeking a detail-oriented and professional Property Manager to oversee the owner experience and manage day-to-day operations for properties in the East Finger Lakes Region (eastside of Seneca and both sides of Cayuga Lakes).

In this role, you will act as the primary liaison between property owners and staff, ensuring properties are guest-ready, maintenance is handled efficiently, and communication is streamlined. You will have direct oversight of housekeeping, inspections, and maintenance tasks, all while ensuring the property owner and guest experience is consistently positive and aligned with our brand promise: "Discover lakefront living with a personalized approach that blends quality service and attention to detail—where every moment by the water feels like home."

Key Responsibilities:

  • Owner Experience: Own and manage the Owner Experience for Finger Lakes Premier Properties (FLPP), ensuring property owners are kept informed and satisfied with the management of their homes. Foster relationships built on trust, transparency and follow through.
  • Liaison for Property Owners: Serve as the main point of contact for property owners, facilitating clear and timely communication between them and FLPP staff. Address and resolve any concerns or issues promptly.
  • Guest Readiness: Ensure homes within your region are always guest-ready by overseeing housekeeping, inspections, and necessary maintenance tasks. Ensure all properties meet FLPP’s high standards of cleanliness and comfort, ensuring every guest's experience feels like home.
  • Day-to-Day Operations: Oversee daily operations for properties within your region, ensuring all activities are performed according to company policies and procedures. Uphold the highest standards of service and operational efficiency.
  • Staff Communication: Facilitate effective communication with all staff in your region, ensuring tasks are assigned, prioritized, and completed in a timely manner. Foster a team atmosphere that reflects the personalized approach and attention to detail our brand promises.
  • Time Card Review: Review and approve time cards for staff, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies, and supporting operational efficiency.
  • Owner Statement Review: Review and approve owner statements, ensuring transparency of billing and charges, and maintaining trust in the financial aspects of the property management process.
  • Work Order Approval: Review and approve completed work orders, ensuring all necessary tasks have been completed to the highest standard, maintaining consistency in service delivery.
  • Owner Approvals: Seek property owner approval for maintenance and/or replacement items needed for their homes, ensuring transparency and prompt decision-making that aligns with our commitment to quality.
  • Capital Improvement Communication: Manage and communicate capital improvement projects and capital expenditure requests, ensuring owners are informed and approvals are obtained in a timely manner.
  • Property Inspections: Conduct and oversee quarterly property inspections, ensuring homes meet FLPP’s standards for guest readiness and maintenance. Perform special inspections for high-priority stays to ensure homes are in pristine condition.
  • Team Management: Manage a team of property care staff to care for the homes in your region. Hold your team accountable to FLPP policies and procedures, ensuring consistent performance and high standards of service. Encourage a culture of excellence, where attention to detail is paramount.
  • De-escalation of Owner Issues: Act as the primary point of contact for de-escalating homeowner issues or concerns. Address all matters professionally and effectively, ensuring a positive outcome for both owners and the company.

Qualifications:

  • Experience with Vacation Rentals in any capacity.
  • Proven experience in property management or a related field, with a strong understanding of the hospitality industry.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with property owners, staff, and guests, ensuring the brand promise is upheld in every interaction.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage operations efficiently, ensuring guest-ready homes at all times.
  • Experience in managing and coordinating housekeeping, inspections, and maintenance teams.
  • Knowledge of property maintenance and the ability to approve work orders, repairs, and replacements, ensuring high standards are consistently met.
  • Ability to review and approve time cards, owner statements, and other financial documentation accurately.
  • Experience in conflict resolution and de-escalation of issues, with a focus on maintaining positive owner relationships.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to ensuring homes are always guest-ready, reflecting our brand promise of personalized, high-quality lakefront living.
  • Proficiency in property management software and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and take initiative in a fast-paced environment.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

This role requires the ability to work in a variety of physical environments, including outdoor areas with varying weather conditions. The job involves regular lifting, standing, bending, walking, and repetitive motion tasks. Employees may be exposed to chemicals, allergens, and other environmental factors typical of property management and maintenance.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,500.00 - $62,500.00 per year
