What are the responsibilities and job description for the Echo Tech position at Fingerlakes Health?
Under the clinical direction of the Cardiology Coordinator, performs Cardiac Ultrasound and / or Vascular Ultrasound per policy and procedure. Conducts initial patient interview, makes preliminary assessment of test data. Prepares studies for physician interpretation. Works closely with physicians and Cardiology Coordinator to assure accurate and timely test results. The sonographer shall have the ability to provide care to adolescent, adult and geriatric patients.

- Preferred :
- RCS or RDCS credentialed
- Registry eligible in cardiac ultrasound
- Preferred :
- Ability to enhance the spirit of teamwork through effective role modeling.
- Computer literacy required. Hourly Salary : $41.81-$46.77
EDUCATION : Minimum :
Completion of training at an AMA approved school in Ultrasound
B.S. degree; Registered Specialist (Ultrasound plus one-year additional training at AMA approved program)

BLS required through the RQI system during clinical orientation
W ORK EXPERIENCE : Minimum :
Two years of cardiac and / or vascular ultrasound experience
Arrhythmia experience
