What are the responsibilities and job description for the RN-Dialysis position at Fingerlakes Health?
Under the direction of the Dialysis Program Director, the Dialysis RN coordinates, delegates, supervises, and provides nursing care for patients over the age of 18 years. The RN completes duties in accordance with approved med / surg standards, policies, and procedures. The Dialysis RN is knowledgeable in the cause and effect of renal disease, the use of various hemo and peritoneal dialysis treatments, procedures, and therapeutic interventions appropriate to manage care in an acute and / or chronic renal dialysis unit. The Dialysis RN utilizes the nursing process to address the physiological, psychological, emotional, cultural and self-care needs of patients and their families during the acute and chronic episodes of illness.

- Excellent interpersonal, communication and organization skills.

- Hourly Pay Rate : $39.52-$49.44
EDUCATION : Minimum :
Graduate of an approved school of registered professional nursing.
LICENSE : Minimum :
Currently licensed by the New York State Board of Nursing as a Registered Professional Nurse.
PROFESSIONAL CERTIFICATIONS :
Minimum :
BLS Certification required through the RQI system during clinical orientation.
W ORK EXPERIENCE : Preferred :
One year of Dialysis, ICU, CCU, ER, OR experience.
SKILLS : Minimum :
Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion and ability to deal with the people in a professional and courteous manner.
Experience with Microsoft Office products and electronic medical record
