Job Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Accounting Intern to join our accounting team. As an intern, you will assist with a variety of tasks that will help you develop a comprehensive understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and internal controls. Day to Day responsibilities:
- Assist in maintaining and updating financial records, including ledgers and spreadsheets
- Support accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring timely processing of invoices and payments
- Assist with bank reconciliations and other account reconciliations
- Prepare journal entries and assist in month-end and year-end closing processes
- Conduct financial data entry and ensure accuracy in accounting systems
- Prepare audit documentation and assist with internal and external audits
- Help analyze financial data and assist in reporting for management
- Provide general administrative support to the accounting department as needed
- Assist in maintaining tax records and documentation
Requirements:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial practices
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other office software
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Positive attitude with a willingness to learn
