As our Data Journalist, you'll work at the intersection of data analysis and storytelling, collaborating with various teams to uncover and communicate valuable insights. Your role will be dynamic and multifaceted; on any given day you might :
Dive deep into large datasets to identify patterns, trends, and anomalies that tell compelling stories about products, customers, and marketplacesWrite data stories that translate complex data into easily understandable and impactful stories for both internal and external audiencesCollaborate with data scientists, strategists, creatives, social and media analysts, and medical strategists to gather and analyze dataCreate clear and compelling data visualizations that complement your written narrativesStay up-to-date with the latest data journalism techniques and tools to continually improve our data storytelling capabilitiesYou need these qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Data Science, Statistics, or a related fieldProven experience (3 years) in data journalism or a similar role that combines data analysis with storytellingStrong analytical skills with the ability to work with large datasets and identify meaningful patterns and trendsExcellent writing and communication skills, with a preternatural talent for translating complex information into clear, engaging narrativesA portfolio showcasing your data-driven storytelling workIt would be nice if
