Lawn Care Crew Member

Finish Line Property Solutions is seeking a motivated and independent Lawn Care & Landscaping Crew Member to join our team. This role requires someone who can work efficiently alone, take initiative, and maintain high standards of property maintenance. As the business grows, this position is expected to develop into a Crew Lead role, offering further leadership responsibilities and advancement opportunities. This position will likely transition into a year-round opportunity including snow removal tasks in the winter and additional commercial projects. (30 hours/week to start)

Expected Growth: This position is expected to expand into a full-time (40-hour) role as the season progresses and additional clients are added to routes. It is possible that a 40 hour week will be obtained prior to hiring.

Key Responsibilities
This position involves performing routine lawn care services, including preparing and driving company equipment, mowing, trimming, edging, and debris cleanup. Responsibilities also include handling landscaping tasks such as mulching, planting, and seasonal property maintenance. The crew member will operate and maintain equipment such as lawn mowers, string trimmers, blowers, and small trailers. The ability to back up and maneuver trailers under 20 feet safely and effectively is required. The role also involves ensuring properties and equipment are maintained to company standards with a keen eye for detail, working independently to manage tasks efficiently with minimal supervision, and providing excellent customer service while maintaining a professional demeanor on job sites.

Requirements
Candidates must be able to work independently and take responsibility for assigned tasks. A background check and drug screening are required. Applicants must have a chauffeur’s license or be willing to obtain one with company assistance. A valid license with a clean driving record is required, and a driving record check may be performed. The ability to safely back up and operate trailers under 20 feet is necessary. This job requires physical ability to bend, squat, and lift 50 lbs and work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Smart phone required. Signed acknowledgement and agreement to adhere to Employee Handbook is required.

Preferred Qualifications
While not required, prior experience in lawn care, landscaping, or property maintenance is a plus. Familiarity with commercial landscaping equipment is beneficial. Leadership experience or a willingness to step into a Crew Lead role as the position develops is also preferred.
