GENERAL SUMMARY
Plan, organize, and direct manufacturing, distribution, and maintenance operations which ensure the most effective return on the company’s investment. Oversee and effectively manage the facility up to and including, administrative staff, production department, QC, and other departments as directed. The position is responsible for facility results in terms of costs, methods, quality, and quantity of production, operations, inventory, and personnel. Maintain secure and safe facilities including facility equipment and work areas to ensure a safe work environment free of any safety hazards. Responsible for material shortages, machine or equipment defects, inventory levels, and accuracy of inventory to ensure no delays in production and or delivery to customers. Staff the facility according to business/customer needs to include screening and interviewing qualified candidates. Communicate requests for team member transfers, promotions, corrective action, and wage adjustments to appropriate company personnel. Directly supervise facility team members.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESinclude the following. Other duties may be assigned.
· Initiate plans and processes that minimize manufacturing costs through effective utilization of manpower, equipment, facilities, materials, and capital making sure plans and actions support strategic initiatives.
· Establish group and individual accountabilities throughout assigned departments for problem-solving and cost reduction depending on need.
· Manage spending against budget and in relation to changes in production volume.
· Work to establish management practices throughout assigned areas.
· Prepare work schedules, assign work, oversee, and assist employees in meeting production/ shipping and order schedules.
· Maintain employee morale and personnel relations and address employee concerns and performance in conjunction with approved personnel.
· Interview pre-screened applicants
· Work with other departments/facilities to complete schedule requirements
· Check material shortages, machine or equipment defects, and causes for production delays.
· Maintain equipment and facility work areas to ensure safe harm-free work environments and eliminate safety hazards immediately upon findings.
· Continually improve safety record by addressing both physical safety issues and employee safety adherence
· Maintain individual skills, keeping up to date with the latest production, products, and orders through management concepts.

Experience and Education Required
· High school diploma or equivalent
· College degree preferred.
· Minimum 5 years experience in manufacturing supervisor/management field
· OSHA & Hazmat Training
· Basic math, reading, and comprehension skills.
Specific Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required
· Knowledge of all department’s functions
· Knowledge of company policies and procedures
· Strong computer skills & Inventory control
· Strong leadership/management skills to include communication skills both written and verbal.
Reasoning Ability:
· Determine the correctness of a variety of processes in relation to specified guidelines learned through prior experience in the industry.
· Relies on experience and judgment to accomplish goals and make decisions within the scope of the company’s policies and procedures.
· Work without continuous supervision while completing assigned projects.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: May be required to meet certain certifications, including a valid driver's license and/or CDL with Hazmat Training.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
