Maintenance Technician
Position Summary:
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and performing preventative maintenance on mechanical and electrical equipment within our coating, laminating, and converting production lines. This role requires expertise in mechanical systems, electrical components, and control systems to ensure operational efficiency and minimal downtime.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on production equipment, including motors, pumps, conveyors, and rollers.
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical issues to maintain equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
- Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and blueprints for mechanical and electrical systems.
- Collaborate with OEM technical support to troubleshoot and test control systems, including VFDs and PLCs.
- Work closely with production teams to promptly identify and resolve equipment concerns.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, including logs, reports, and spare parts inventory; experience with maintenance tracking software like MaintainX is a plus.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and workplace safety protocols while conducting maintenance activities.
- Assist with the installation, testing, and commissioning of new or upgraded machinery.
- Experience with ISO standards is a plus.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends or on-call shifts as needed.
Skills, Knowledge, and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical degree or certification in industrial maintenance, mechatronics, or a related field preferred.
- 3-5 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment, ideally within coating, laminating, or converting operations.
- Strong mechanical aptitude, with experience working on pumps, conveyors, bearings, rollers, and related equipment.
- Proficiency in electrical systems, including 3-phase power (230-480V 3ph), wiring, sensors, and control panels (120V AC, 24V DC).
- Knowledge of PLC troubleshooting; basic programming experience with Allen Bradley, Siemens, or similar platforms is a plus.
- Experience with VFD setup, operation, and maintenance.
- Familiarity with pneumatics, hydraulics, and general fabrication techniques.
- Knowledge of boilers, steam systems, air compressors, and forklift/PIT maintenance.
- Strong problem-solving skills and analytical abilities.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- High attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.

Pay: $28.00 - $32.00 per hour
