Maintenance Shop Supervisor

Job Description:
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Maintenance Supervisor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for moving and loading construction equipment, operating industrial forklifts, and performing manual material handling tasks in an outdoor work environment. This role requires physical stamina, a strong commitment to safety, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct basic inspections and maintenance of equipment as needed.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues, estimate repair costs, and order necessary supplies.
• Operate industrial forklifts safely and efficiently.
• Perform manual material handling, including lifting up to 50 lbs regularly.
• Climb ladders and work in physically demanding outdoor conditions for extended shifts.
• Assist with yard organization and general maintenance.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA safety guidelines and company protocols.
• Travel to job sites to perform maintenance and repairs on construction equipment (some overnight travel required).
• Supervise and mentor maintenance helpers.

Qualifications:

• Knowledge of API above-ground storage tank erection is a plus.
• Experience in material handling, warehouse, or yard operations is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of diesel and electrical equipment maintenance is a plus.
• Ability to perform repairs on flatbed trailers, brakes, airlines, etc.
• Industrial forklift experience (certification is a plus).
• Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting, bending, and climbing.

Welding experience is required:

• OSHA safety training and forklift training are a plus.
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and ability to work in varying outdoor conditions.
• Valid driver’s license, with the ability to pass a background check and drug test.
• Trade school or technical school certifications are a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00 - $38.00 per hour
