Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in processing high-volume payroll (150 employees) with a strong background in Union and Prevailing Wage payroll. This is an onsite position at our office, and remote work is not available.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process payroll for 150 employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Handle Union and Prevailing Wage payroll, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and labor laws.
- Maintain employee records, including deductions, bonuses, and overtime.
- Ensure proper tax withholding and report payroll taxes to government agencies.
- Reconcile payroll discrepancies and address employee inquiries related to payroll.
- Stay up-to-date with changes in payroll regulations and tax laws.
- Collaborate with HR and other departments to ensure smooth payroll operations.
- Prepare and distribute paychecks, direct deposits, and payroll reports.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in high-volume payroll processing (150 employees).
- Strong knowledge of Union and Prevailing Wage payroll regulations.
- Proficiency in payroll software and Microsoft Excel.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
