Buyer Assistant
Fink's Jewelers has an immediate opening for the full-time position of Buyer Assistant in our Roanoke, VA corporate office. This individual would be responsible for supporting the Diamond Buyer in managing inventory and special orders. Our ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail and possess the ability to work accurately and efficiently. Should be proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel. Must be able to demonstrate time management with the ability to meet strict deadlines.
In addition, this individual must possess excellent communication skills and a willingness to learn. Previous inventory control experience preferred but not required.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Inventory management including data entry.
- Communicate with 10 high-volume retail store locations to provide product estimates.
- Work with multiple third-party suppliers to submit special orders and custom design requests for all 10 locations.
- Maintain knowledge of jewelry trends and think creatively.
- Gemological courses will be provided. Prior GIA training a plus.
- Utilize company ERP software to research transactions.
- All other duties as assigned.
