The Systems Lead Technician will work as part of a diverse team and act as a subject matter expert on behalf of the plant on frequency drives, human machine interface (HMI), control sensors (flow, temp, etc.), PLC/HMI programming, and plant operating systems. Able to do quick in-depth troubleshooting including electrical troubleshooting experience inclusive of 480VAC and 24VDC control systems, to support maintenance team. Will be called on to fix urgent issues or project work to rebuild or modify equipment to improve efficiency. Working directly with technicians, machine operators, supervisors, and engineers, the Industrial Control Technician will collaborate to resolve manufacturing issues. Playing a vital role in developing and implementing best practices and implement standard methodologies aligned with Finlay’s Americas maintenance strategies. Champion continuous improvement efforts as well as provide training to the maintenance team.

Responsibilities
- Demonstrate root-cause problem solving to identify and perform permanent solutions.
- Troubleshoot variable frequency drives, servo motors, controllers, communication systems (profi-bus, ethernet), PLC input/output cards, and safety modules.
- Coach and mentor operators, technicians and other peers on basic maintenance and technical procedures related to food and beverage manufacturing.
- Maintain all PLC/HMI programs for compounding, packaging, and process systems, edit and write PLC programs, create/modify HMI screens, and perform basic electrical troubleshooting and functional modifications.
- Education: Associate’s degree/Technical certificate in manufacturing, manufacturing technology, industrial manufacturing, manufacturing automation or engineering-related field
- Minimum 1 to 2 years of experience in a manufacturing / Industrial maintenance environment.
- Proficient skills with precision measuring equipment, such as multi meter, calipers, flow, temp, and other analog process devices
- Onsite in a warehouse environment
- Physical Requirements: Required to stand or walk up to 100% of duty time. Some bending, stooping and repetitive motion. Ability to lift or push/pull weights upwards of 50 pounds.
