Job Summary:
Responsible for daily software support, training, onsite implementation & upgrade support. Combines superior analytical skills and business acumen with a strong grasp on Fund and Governmental accounting and how technologies can be applied to help deliver industry-leading solutions.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- None.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Provide accounting system ongoing support services thru analysis, implementation, training, data conversion, testing, procedure documentation, group, and one-on-one training, on-site and remote support.
- Participate in projects through all phases (kick-off through implementation and support) and provide regular project status updates.
- Achieve established objectives and deadlines; ensure that project milestones are met, and project deliverables are delivered on time and to specification.
- Document, prioritize, and promptly resolve all issues, tasks and risks that arise at any stage of the client relationship.
- Manage client expectations, interact with senior client management, and ensure client satisfaction.
- Conduct end-user training sessions.
- Interface with partners to manage joint projects.
- Develop effective solutions through an in-depth understanding of client processes and workflows.
- Effectively test and assess quality of project plans, software configuration and other deliverables.
- Provide customers with subject matter consultation.
- Understand customer requirements, translating them into refined and detailed specification documents.
- Provide resolution to project or customer issues, following proper escalation procedures, in a timely fashion.
- Create project documentation and procedures.
- Testing of new versions, custom development, or combination.
- Create/update documentation as needed, both for customers as well as for internal purposes.
- Requirements gathering, data mapping, procedural documentation.
- Unscheduled site support.
- Maintain product, technical, and industry knowledge.
- Other duties as assigned by the Client Services Supervisor.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Articulate verbal/written communications and strong presentation skills.
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure documents.
- In-depth knowledge of accounting and business practices and processes.
- Fund accounting and/or governmental experience.
- Able to maintain a high level of productivity, manage multiple competing priorities, and work effectively under the pressure of time constraints in a fast-paced, complex, collaborative, and team-oriented environment.
- Excellent time management and personal organization with efficient, disciplined work habits.
- Must understand how to communicate difficult/sensitive information tactfully.
- Equally comfortable working independently or within a team environment.
- Assertive, confident, professional style, but with personable and empathetic demeanor.
- Working knowledge of computers, Microsoft Office, Windows Operating System.
Education and Experience:
- BS in Accounting (Qualified experience may be substituted for degree requirement).
- Fund accounting and/or governmental experience a plus.
- At least two (2) years’ experience in bookkeeping or accounting is a plus.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Majority of work is at client workplaces and as such requires carrying up to 20 pounds of supplies and equipment to and from home office, vehicle, and client office.

Work Hours and Overtime:
- Typical office hours are 8:00 a.m. through 5:00 p.m. Monday – Friday.
- This job is a salaried position and due to the nature of the business and position, may require different/additional hours to accomplish the objectives.
Travel Requirements:
- Out-of-town travel is common for this position.
- All efforts will be made to give as much advance notice as possible for required travel.
- Employee must have reliable transportation, an active driver’s license, and valid automobile insurance.
- Employees must be able to utilize all methods of mass transportation including Airlines, Trains, Buses, Taxis.
