What are the responsibilities and job description for the Paralegal position at Finley Law Firm, P.C.?
This position will work directly with the attorneys in the transactional, estate planning and probate areas to support the needs of our clients. This is a full-time, benefit eligible position.
Responsibilities supporting the probate and estate planning practice:
• Drafting estate planning and trust documents
• Trust Funding
• Probate and Trust Administration
• Professional and friendly communication with clients and other parties
• Other duties as assigned
Responsibilities supporting the transactional practice:
• Preparation of documents required to form, amend, withdraw, merge, and dissolve limited liability companies, corporations, and partnerships
• Assisting with commercial real estate transactions and closings
• Assisting with preparation of business contracts and other legal documents
• Preparing UCC filings
• Drafting and maintaining corporate minutes
• Performing records and legal research
• Other duties as assigned
The ideal candidate will have:
• A bachelor’s degree or AA in Legal Studies (or equivalent experience)
• Experience as an estate planning, probate, business, real estate, or corporate paralegal
• The ability to handle sensitive information with a high level of confidentiality, discretion, and professionalism
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Excellent attention to detail in all your work
• Effective communication, both verbally and in writing
• Proficiency learning and navigating both existing and new software and technologies
• Efficient time management skills
