Job Responsibilities
- Receive and unload: Use equipment like forklifts and pallet jacks to unload freight, and check for damage.
- Verify: Compare the contents of shipments to purchase orders, invoices, or manifests to ensure accuracy.
- Store: Put items in the right place and maintain inventory.
- Prepare for shipment: Package items, and prepare documents like bills of lading, work orders, and shipping orders.
- Track shipments as needed and manage any lost or misaddressed shipments.
- Respond to customers: Handle customer inquiries around shipments.
- Coordinate: Work with other parties to coordinate shipping activities as necessary.
- Stage: Pull and stage parts for machine builds.
- Calculate: Determine shipping costs and rates.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area and present a professional appearance.
- Perform other duties as required.
- Excellent attendance
- High school degree or equivalent
- Basic mathematical skills, and ability to calculate precise measurements
