The second shift Press Brake Operator will work 4-10 hours days (M-Th 2:30pm - 12:30am) with a 30-minute paid lunch.
In addition to the hourly rate, the second shift press brake operator will be paid an additional $2 per hour as a shift differential.
Press Brake Operators are responsible for the set up and operation of CNC Press Brake machines using programs, tooling and machine parameters, to run various operations which require forming, bending, notching, straightening, and punching from a variety of metals to produce parts to be used in the fabrication and assembly of equipment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Properly and safely set up, operate, and calibrate CNC Press Brake machines.
- Read blueprints and diagrams and conduct first/last piece inspection.
- Apply knowledge of metal properties and tooling selection to bending operations and techniques.
- Adjust machine settings to meet job specifications.
- De-tab and de-burr parts with grinders and sanders.
- Maintain and clean tool inventory.
- Perform and document routine maintenance on machine as directed.
- Assist other operators as needed.
- Work closely with the Press Brake Programmer to continually refine and improve bending programs.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
- Take personal accountability for job duties and results.
Requirements
Education, Knowledge and Skills
- Excellent attendance.
- High school degree or equivalent.
- Minimum five years’ experience operating CNC Press Brake machines to form metal components, within strict tolerances.
- Cincinnati CNC Press Brake machines a plus.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints, diagrams and drawings specifications, and manuals.
- Ability to use ERP software, and CNC software.
- Experience with Inventor or other 3D Software, a plus.
- Basic mathematical skills, and ability to calculate precise measurements.
- Strong attention to details, quality and accuracy.
- Team player who works to assist and support others.
- Previous work experience in manufacturing.
- Lean manufacturing, Tier 2 or Tier 3 experience a plus.

Work Environment:
Manufacturing Environment. Frequent exposure to noise, fumes and dust.
Physical Demands:
This position frequently lifts heavy objects and/or up to 50 lbs., and occasionally up to 100 lbs., walks and stands for long periods of time and performs strenuous physical labor. The employee lifts, pushes, pulls or carries objects; uses abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue; and effectively lifts and carries heavy loads. The position requires good manual dexterity (hand, hand and arm, two hands) and multi-limb coordination. It also requires the ability to quickly move arms and legs. The employee must have excellent stamina. Seeing with the ability to read reports, data, statistics and information on computer screens are required.
