Position Overview :
As an Employment / Civil Litigation Attorney at F&D, you will handle a diverse range of cases, primarily involving employment litigation, inclusive wage and hour, wrongful termination, PAGA and Class Action, but with opportunities to work on other civil litigation matters as well. You will be responsible for managing cases from inception through resolution, including client intake, drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery, conducting legal research, preparing for trials, and representing clients in court. We represent a mixture of plaintiff and defendants in employment cases, which provides a unique opportunity to establish a well-rounded practice of employment law.
Key Responsibilities :
Represent clients in employment-related litigation, including wrongful termination, wage and hour disputes, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and other employment law matters.
Draft and file pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, and other litigation documents.
Take and defend depositions, handle court hearings, and participate in settlement negotiations.
Collaborate with senior attorneys on case strategy and trial preparation.
Maintain a high level of client communication, ensuring clients are informed and engaged throughout the legal process.
Stay current on legal developments and changes in employment law and civil litigation.
Provide legal guidance and counsel to clients on a wide range of employment law issues.
Try cases before a jury or bench and be adept at navigating a courtroom.
