Provide primary, urgent and wellness care for men, women, and children. Assess and manage the medical care needs of clients in a clinic setting and perform physical examinations and procedures within moral, ethical, and legal boundaries. Make routine diagnosis of injury or illness. This includes clients to the Health Department, , Juvenile Detention Center (JDC), and the shelter.

• Utilize appropriate communication and interviewing and examination techniques to compile historical and current health data with emphasis on developmental, situational, psycho-social, obstetrical, and gynecological aspects
• Prescribe medication(s) and counsel clients in accordance to protocols set in coordination with Medical Director
• Document client care in an accurate, concise, thorough, and legible form via EHR system, audit charts as needed. Fill out appropriate additional records that apply (e.g. DAISEY forms) for each client/visit
• Identify the need for management and/or care outside the scope of practice and make appropriate referrals
• Perform duties professionally in accordance with professional ethical guidelines, state statutes and federal regulations
• Serve as a resource to clinic staff, aid in achieving department goals and resolving procedural issues
• Conduct chart reviews with the Medical Director, collaborate and/or consult with Medical Director and medical staff as needed
• Order necessary laboratory tests, review results, distinguish between normal and abnormal lab findings, provide clinical advice based on lab findings
• Provide appropriate client education based on preventive health principles
• Participate in quality assurance activities.

• Work with Medical Director to review clinical policies and procedures regularly and keep them up-to-date with clinical guidelines.
• Aid in the preparation of grants pertaining to specialization
• Ensure that all records and patient information are completed in a timely manner for billing/quarterly reporting
• Aid in planning and implementing grant-related and outreach activities
• Participate in at least 30% of after-hours outreach activities with the FCHD team
• Organize/participate in outreach/inter-agency activities required under Family Planning program
• Participate in interagency meetings and other interagency activities as required.
• Participate in department staff meetings, in-service programs, other meetings, and maintain continuing education requirements.
• Maintain CEU requirements and keep abreast of clinical guidelines/innovations as applicable
