What are the responsibilities and job description for the Operations Coordinator position at Finnrick Analytics?
Finnrick is seeking an energetic Operations Coordinator to build up our infrastructure. Reporting to the founding COO and one of our very first hires, you will play a fundamental role in creating the operational setup to deliver on the company's vision.
Primary Responsibilities
Office setup
- Identify and set up the company's inaugural Austin office space
- Design an attractive workspace that supports efficient logistics and collaborative work
- For a while, onboard and support Austin-based staff (office management)
Products Testing and Logistics Management
- Coordinate third-party testing lab logistics
- Manage sample collection, tracking, shipping, and reporting processes
- Develop procedures and efficient workflows for testing sample management, work with product / engineering to develop the systems accordingly, providing continuous feedback
Customer Support and Engagement
- Operate customer communication channels, both inbound and outbound
- Engage with end users, capture, track and resolve inquiries and issues
- Develop customer support best practices and training materials
Qualifications
- Experience in operations, logistics, customer support, or hospitality – huge plus if you've worked in a chemicals or biology testing lab
- Strong organizational and project management skills, problem-solving abilities, autonomy, goal orientation, i.e. you should have your stuff together, this is a startup and it's probably going to be messy!
- Appetite to tackle different projects as the company builds itself up. Experience in startup environments a big plus
- Excellent verbal and decent written communication in English
- Driver's license and personal vehicle a plus
Location
- Primary location: Austin, TX
- Work style: remote at first, but once an office is set up, mostly at the office, to handle testing logistics in a timely manner (many colleagues will be remote)
- Occasional travel may be required
