Swim Instructor Job Description
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Swim Instructor to join our team! As a swim instructor, you will be responsible for teaching students of all ages, from infants (starting at 2 months old) to adults. Your enthusiasm, expertise, and love for water activities will help foster a positive and engaging learning environment, encouraging students to develop swimming skills and water safety awareness.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach swim lessons to children and adults, following established lesson plans.
- Ensure a fun, safe, and positive learning environment for all participants.
- Educate students on water safety and proper swimming techniques.
- Monitor students' progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Engage with parents or guardians to discuss student progress and address any concerns.
- Maintain a clean and safe pool environment.
- Collaborate with other instructors to enhance the overall swim program.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Must be 16 years or older.
- No prior swim instructor experience required—we provide in-house training!
- Previous experience in sports coaching, physical education, or childcare is advantageous but not necessary.
- Strong swimming skills (preferred but not required).
- CPR, First Aid, and Lifeguard certifications (preferred but not required).
- Strong communication skills and ability to effectively engage and motivate students.
- A genuine passion for teaching swimming and promoting water safety.
